Guided tours
In the summer of 2021, the Museum launched its excursion bureau: since now citizens and guests can make a guided visit through the transport and cultural attractions of the city: the North River Station, Melnikov's garage together with the educational project ‘Moscow through the eyes of an engineer‘, the exhibition ‘Moskvich's Dream’ at the VDNH, the Museum Route ‘T’ and the Moscow Monorail depot. The program offers options for excursions to different ages and companies.
The first series of tours of Melnikov`s garage sold out in two hours.

North River Station. First meeting

Meeting with the history of the most picturesque river port in Moscow.
Instead of awkward silence – an interesting excursion into the biography of the Moscow Canal, the Khimki lake, and its main attraction, the Port of Five Seas. We just talk about complex architectural forms and do it with a twinkle. That rare case is when you can go on a first meeting with the whole family.

North River Station . Second meeting

Architectural tour of the Northern River Station.
A metaphysical rapprochement with the North River Terminal, during which restored scars and marks of explosive epochs on the body of the building is revealed. Everything that for years rested under layers of paint and parquet, and everything that did not fit there – on excursions with in-depth knowledge of architecture and bohemian gossip of the Soviet creative elite.

’Moskvich`s Dream’ exhibition

The history of the legendary car brand from the first model to the last electric car.
The main character of ‘Moskvich's Dream’ exhibition at the Pavilion ‘USSR`s transport’ at the VDNH is the car ‘Moskvich’, which is like the hero of a classical myth, goes through the stages of formation, trials, and transformation on the way to its transcendental finale.

Moscow Monorail

The history of the most interesting Moscow public transport – the monorail – is closely related to the development of the VDNH. The excursion includes an inspiring walk through the VDNH with a rich transport history, a visit to the depot, and, of course, a viewing of the monorail reversal overpass.

Museum route ’T’

The unique trolleybus route in Moscow that has a story to tell.
In 2020, the trolleybus ceded the capital streets to its modern successor, the electric bus. However, on the circular route from Komsomolskaya Square to Novoryazanskaya Street, a kind of trolleybus reserve has appeared – the Museum Route ‘T’. One trip and you are already aware of the latest cultural news of the area and all the twists and turns of the fate of the Russian trolleybus.
